Project Description Summary

Priory Bay is a 600 m long sandy bay on the northeast coast of the Isle of Wight. Priory Bay is a site selected for seagrass (Zostera marina) active restoration beginning in March 2024 using three different planting methods; DIS, transplants and fragments. Across Thorness and Priory Bay seagrass restoration will cover 3 ha. This restoration activity is being delivered by Project Seagrass.
